***Finding Online Programs at Traditional Schools***

To see if your favorite traditional university or college has an online program, go to their website.  To find their website, click here.  Once at the site look for a link that says "distance education" or "online learning." It can sometimes be difficult to find such a link. Some home pages are quite crowded. Here's how to find it quickly...

  1. See if you can find reference to it with a quick scan of the top, left and bottom navbars (graphic or text links). If not...
  2. Do a quick find on the home page. Press the control+f keys on your keyboard or command+f if you are using a Mac.  Then enter "dista" (the first few letters is fine and reduces chances of a typo) into the box of the window that pops up. Try also for "onli" (short for "online") and "contin" (short for "continuing" or "continuing education" program.)
  3. As a last resort, use their search tool or online support chat if they have one or 1-800 line, or send them an e-mail.

Once you've identified a program of interest, it's time to apply and get accepted.  The next page in our guide will show you how.
